Sarah Derico is the Vice President and Co-Chair of the Equality for All committee for Women For Progress. Sarah has dedicated most of her life to advocating for progressive causes and building inclusive programs that empower and enhance the quality of life for people and communities in need.
Sarah was most recently Program Manager and Advocate at Heightened Independence and Progress in Hackensack, New Jersey. Previously she was Assistant Program Manager for Transitional Housing at CAMBA in Brooklyn, New York. She also served in the office of the Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services in New York City under Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Sarah began her career with AmeriCorps as an Environmental Program Coordinator in northern Virginia.
Sarah holds an MPA from the School of Public Affairs at Baruch College and a BA in English and Secondary Education from The College of Saint Rose.
